WAPJ 32/98 : Det bulgarske luftvåben annoncerede aug. 1997, at 4 frontlinje luftbaser gradvist vil blive lukket over de næste 2-3 år. Omfatter Gabrovnitza AB (MiG-23MLD/UB), Baltchik AB (MiG-21bis/UM), Uzundzhovo AB (MiG-21bis) samt Straclevo AB (L-29).

JDW 18/02 : Krumovo og Graf Ignatievo luftbaserne skal moderniseres af Intelcan fra Canada.

AFM 5/03 : 22nd Shturmova AviaBaza ved Bezmer (nær Yambol) skal moderniseres. Landingsbanen skal forlænges til 3.500 m.
